Thank you Letter

Dear Dad.

Thank you for taking up your time and coming on camp with me!  You danced at the concert, you told us things about the Hunua Ranges and you made everyone laugh. In the mornings I would look back when we did aerobics and see you doing the moves to the songs! You poured everybody water and helped with a lot of things. People would ask me “Is that your dad?” and I was proud to say yes. Sometimes I would get embarrassed until everybody was laughing their heads off. You came to every activity with my group and when I did the high ropes you encouraged me and I felt better. You were brave and did the high ropes in my harness. You were an awesome helper and everybody enjoyed having you there. Without you there camp wouldn't have been as much fun!

ANZAC Letter To Home.

NZ Sign Language is NZ's third official language. Saruja and I have created this DLO to show us how to sign the names of family using NZSL. 

Why Do we Wear Poppies?

We have been learning about ANZAC and we had to make a poster about poppies.We found out why we wear them on 25th of April and lots more.

Underground Soldiers by DJae and Latham.

Me and DJae made this DLO is about how the allies would get to the Germans! They had miners who would dig holes under the German trenches and then they would bomb them by dropping grenades.

ANZAC Day

My DLO explains what ANZAC Day is and why we celebrate it. I think the images help people to make a connection to what life in WW1 was like.

Where is Gallipoli?

ANZAC is a sad time and I made a poster about where Gallipoli is and why it was a dangerous place and people called it hell!
