My retelling of Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Little Red Riding Hood who lived in a cottage with her mum. Her Grandmother was very sick so Little Red Riding Hood’s mother made some butter and tarts. Little Red Riding Hood’s mother said to Little Red Riding Hood “Take this basket to grandmother, but stay on the path and don’t talk to the bad wolves”. So she went to Grandma’s house through Bunnie Woods and to grandma’s house. She ran but then there was a wolf. She knew she was not allowed to talk but she just had to tell the wolf. “I’m going to my grandmother’s house” said little Red Riding Hood. Before Little Red Riding Hood could even speak the Wolf ran to Grandma’s house. Finally the Wolf got there and knocked on the door. “Who is it?” said Grandma. “It’s me Little Red Riding Hood” said the Wolf. The door opened and the Wolf came in and swallowed Grandma whole. Little Red Riding Hood knocked on the door “Who is it?” said the Wolf in a funny voice. “It’s me Little Red Riding Hood”. He opened the door “I bought some butter and tarts”. The Wolf was very cunning. He put on Grandma’s nightie and hopped into bed. Little Red Riding Hood came inside “What big ears you have?”. “All the better to hear you with”. “What a big nose you have”. “All the better to smell you with”. “What big teeth you have”. “All the better to eat you with”. “AAAH” the the Wolf swallowed Little Red Riding Hood whole. Luckily a woodcutter was passing. He opened up the door and slit the wolf open. Out came Little Red Riding Hood and Grandma and that was the end of the Wolf. And they both lived happily ever after the end.
