Today at run jump throw we practiced the starting stances. First we tried it with our left leg in front of us, "On your marks" We bent our knees. "Set" We put our foot near the line. Gun shot or clap. We ran to the other side of the court, we then tried it with our right foot to see which foot was better to start off a race. I think the right foot was a better stance. We also learnt to run in a straight line, eyes focused at the finish line, and to stand one metre back from the line. It was an awesome time and I can't wait for the next session.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Run, Jump, Throw.
Today For Run, Jump, Throw we did Shot put and Discus. For Shot Put you have to cover your fingers and your neck but keep the Shot Put of your palm. Keep your chin, knees and toes all in a row with your elbows high. For Discus grip shelf, it should fall out. Swing yours arms up holding the Discus and clap then bring your arms down and take your hand off. Point your opposite finger in the air and swing your arm round. When your arms meet it will look like a T then release the Discus when your arms are beside and watch it fly. It was very fun and we learnt a lot. Can't wait for the next session!

Run, Jump, Throw.
Today we had Run, Jump, Throw! With our Kiwi Sport teacher Andy. We learnt running skills like sprints and starts. When your sprinting stand tall, cheek to cheek with arm movements, light feet and high knees. We practiced hurdles, relays, skills and drills. When your starting a sprint never look at the starter, also when your running don't look back at the other people because it slows you down! Mrs Anderson videoed us doing our running so we know what to improve on! We had fun and we can't wait for the next session!
