On Wednesday Mrs Davis and Mrs Dudding from Edgewater College came to demonstrate the elephants toothpaste experiment. We gave our Hypothesises (Our Prediction.) I thought it was going to make an explosion. We did the experiment. What we saw is that it foamed up, (Bubbles) and it started to smoke which meant it was hot. It was fun but safe and we can not wait to see if we do it again.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Group 1's Science Experiment: Mentos And Coke.
For the past few weeks we have been doing science in groups. After we did all the experiments we had to make a movie in our groups. We used scientific language throughout the movie and we reenacted the experiment with our own props. (We used baking soda for our own effects.)

Science Photo- Bicarbonate Soda and Vinegar
For science we mixed bicarbonate soda (Baking Soda) with vinegar and it bubbled, fizzed and smelt! The bubbles are made of CO2 (Carbon Dioxide Gas) and its a liquid. We poured in malt vinegar and it was massive then we tried it with white vinegar and it had more bubbles but didn't last as long as the malt!
