Run, Jump, Throw.

Today we had Run, Jump, Throw! With our Kiwi Sport teacher Andy. We learnt running skills like sprints and starts. When your sprinting stand tall, cheek to cheek with arm movements, light feet and high knees. We practiced hurdles, relays, skills and drills. When  your starting a sprint never look at the starter, also when your running don't look back at the other people because it slows you down! Mrs Anderson videoed us doing our running so we know what to improve on! We had fun and we can't wait for the next session!

Should Schools Provide Breakfast For New Zealand Children?

Should Schools Provide Breakfast For New Zealand Children?

What do you think?

First I thought NO about breakfast in schools until I found out that 55,000 New Zealand kids go to schools every day without breakfast! If a kid is not on a full tummy they don’t pay attention towards their teachers and their learning.

Kids need good nutrition in their diet, and they need to eat fruit and sandwiches. Not those one dollar lunch packets with no good nutrition at all!

Most kids come from poor, unhealthy and neglected homes and they only have a roof over their heads. We could pay at least 5 dollars each and that could give kids a full tummy!

Kids can go to school with a full tummy because their schools could now provide breakfast. If people donate money!

Rubbish Averages

This is my rubbish DLO! We had to find the averages of the rubbish. I found out that the total of the food scraps were 6, and the total for the containers was the same as the food scraps. The most was the packets with 25 and the glad wrap was the smallest with 4.

Direct Speech

“Hello John, should schools provide breakfast for children?” asked Latham.
“Yes, I think they should because lots of children go to school without breakfast in the morning don’t focus!” replied John.
“I agree, but the parents could also take the time to feed their children!” explained Latham.
“What if they don’t have the money to feed them?” asked John.
“That’s why schools should help with the kids that really need it!”  said Latham

“Your right.” said John

This is my Direct Speech using speech marks!

Breakfast In Schools

Me and john worked together to make this ifake text about breakfast in schools! We both agree with having breakfast in schools because a lot of kids come from poor and neglected homes!

Maths Game

For maths I played this maths game called Sketchers World, were you answer division questions and when you get 10 right you play a different level and you collect pencils then you enter a door which takes you back to more questions!

I would give this game a 10/10 because it helps you with division and its fun!
