This is an awesome clock I made for maths. We had to get some paper and draw a circle. Then we decorated it and put it together.

The 2014 Manaiakalani film festival.

Today room seven went to the Manaiakalani film festival.When we got inside I felt exited to watch all the great movies.The lights were dark and the screen was massive Mr Johnston was talking to start with.Then the movies started room 5,4 and 8 participated in this years film festival.There were lots of movies and heaps of schools were in the theater.My favorite movie was by Tamaki college and it was master chef at the end one guy got eliminated and he got angry and threw some boxes out of the rubbish.It was an awesome event at Sylvia park and I wish we got to see all the movies.

Pentominoes.

This is what me and my partner did for maths.We had to cut out the pieces and then put them on the chart.These pieces were called pentominoes and they are five centimeter squares.We did not manage to finish the puzzle because it was to frustrating.

Term 3 reflection

This is my term 3 reflection for this term.

Cross country

On Wednesday the 24th of September the cross country people went to Bailey Road School to compete in the inter school.

We all got out of the bus and walked into the school.It was cold so I put my jumper on. We all got some bands with colours on them, the year six people had dark orange bands we waited and waited for our turn to run.

Me and Thomas went on the park until it was our turn. We waited for the lady to say go it took three minutes until we stared because the year six girls were still racing.When she said go we all ran I was trying to get to the front but lots of people were faster then me. I ran down a hill then up a hill which was very muddy I had bare feet because my brother had shoes on and he slipped twice when he raced.

We had to run twice round the road then up and down hills on grass and then to the finish line.I saw a guy in front of me and saw no one in front of him. I did not know if he was coming first or 4th he got to the finish line and I did to. I was so tired I was dizzy.I nearly fell on the ground. My Mum,dad,Aunty and Nana were at the finish line waiting for me the lady wrote my place on my hand and I came 5th place. Thomas came 6th and Tai came 9th so I'm proud I got that score.

5.They all have a good time and it is a great holiday for the people.

Tongan language week.

Today is the start of Tongan language week.We have been learning some Tongan on a website and I would like to learn numbers from 1 to 12 in Tongan so I can know some numbers.

Auckland museum trip show what you know presentation.

This is my presentation showing what we learnt at the museum last week.

Kiwi sport Net Ball.

For kiwi sport this term we learnt how to play netball. Our teacher was called Merrin, first we learnt how to pass then we got better after we learnt how to pass we played a game called gladiator where you have to try to block the people with the ball and not let them past.The sessions went on and we got better and better. We had the sessions every week on Thursdays after library time we played a game on the last session and we learnt lots and it was fun I wish we had more time to learn this sport.

I scored 60% on the quiz and I learnt that they are trying to keep whitebait from extinction.

Museum trip.

Yesterday we went to the museum. First we had to wait for the bus and the bus driver took ages he than came a few minutes after.

 At the museum we went into a class room and we learnt about tapa and how it is made.

Than we went and learnt about migration and that Tongan's and other cultures come over to different country's and they bring food that is different to ours. 

 At lunch time we ate than we got into our groups in my group we had Nick as our leader  Daniel, Mere, Ofa and I in our group.  

 We spent the rest of the time looking around at things in the museum like swords and guns my favorite part was the war section and the volcano room.  
 After that we all met with the rest of the class and than we left on the bus. That was an awesome trip.

                            Friday the 13th in a cabin

 We were all set and ready for an awesome night. Sylis and Daniel had come with me and our parents to a cabin with five rooms.Tonight is Friday the 13th, and everybody says that is real but it is just superstition. “Hey Sylis we should freak out our dads” “ok” said Sylis and we all went to sleep. We were sweating with fear. We then heard footsteps “what was that” said Sylis “I don't know maybe its Jason” said Daniel. “Don’t say that” I said. Then the knob on the door slowly turned “I'm really scared now” said Daniel then we heard a chain saw. “Ahhhhh” I said Jason had cut down the door in our room. We ran towards the living room “maybe this is a safe place” said Daniel “why” said Sylis “because they call it the living room” said Daniel .“Don’t be silly” l said. Our parents woke up and we were screaming “before I die I want to say that you guys are awesome friends” I said. “Thanks” said Sylis “yeah thanks to” said Daniel.We ran in to our parents room and slept in the closet but then Jason came. I grabbed a wooden plank and whacked Jason. He tripped and fell through the old ground. “I'm never coming here again” said Daniel “true that” I said and we went home.

Duffy Theater.

Today we went and saw the Duffy theater.It was awesome,the characters were Rosie Duffy and Uncle Bingo when they started I thought it was awesome. The funny part was when Uncle Bingo was playing rugby and then he fell over.Uncle Bingo did not like to read because he was a rugby person but Rosie and Duffy helped him and that was what happened in the show.

Going to the movies.

                             Going To The Movies

In the holidays my brother, my mum and my dad and I went to the movies. We saw How To Train Your Dragon 2. It was awesome. Before we arrived at the movies we went to Burger King to get  a frozen coke because its better to get a frozen coke for $1 than the expensive drinks at the movies. We had skittles,caramel popcorn,and party mix to eat when watching the movie. When the lights got darker I got excited I blocked my ears because the ads are so loud.Then I got used to the sound and I started watching the movie.

The movie was an animation made by Dream works. There is a boy called Hiccup and his dragon Toothless.Toothless is a small dragon that takes on a giant dragon and he kills it.  The skittles were nearly gone my brother and my mum shared some skittles. My dad and I shared some too they tasted wonderful. The caramel popcorn tasted yummy better than normal popcorn. There were not many people watching the movie. I nearly fell asleep but I did not.

The movie was a little bit long but I enjoyed it. In the first movie Hiccup shoots down Toothless and then he comes to rescue him. He starts looking after him and that is how it starts in the first movie. When we were half way through the movie I went to eat some skittles but they were all gone and the pack was as lite as a feather. We only had the caramel popcorn and the party mix left but that was enough for the rest of the movie. When the movie finished we walked out of the movies and went and got Burger King for lunch. That was one of the best days of the holidays.

For art we have been doing art like Ton Schulten, We had to mix colors for our art to start with we had to draw a plan then use chalk to make the lines after that we under painted it. Then we painted it again,We let it dry and then we were done and It came out looking great.
